My dad is trying to sell his house (located in MA) but he lives in Florida now. I think we have a buyer and my dad is wondering if he can do a power of attorney so that I can sign the documents (deed and anything else required for closing) for him at the closing. Will that work? Thanks.

Powers of attorney are very useful tools, and as long as the language specifies that your father is intending to give his agent (you) the power to sign the deed and any other closing documents, it should work. If I were you, once you have a closing date, I would contact the closing attorney and ask her the same question. She might have specific language she wants included in the power of attorney.
