There is no Massachusetts state law that would cause a legally registered and parked vehicle to be towed. However, individual cities or towns may have local ordinances regarding how long a vehicle can stay in one spot before it is deemed abandoned. You don't say where you live, but just call city or town hall, explain your situation, and ask them for some help. I'm sure they'll give you the information you need. Good luck.
