Can I leave my car on street in Massachusetts?

I am in an electric wheel chair now and it is difficult for me to get around. I can still walk but it's hard. I have my car parked in front of my house. It's all legal with registration and insurance and all that but sometimes I don't move it for several weeks at a time. Is that legal under Massachusetts law or might they tow it?

Editor's Response

There is no Massachusetts state law that would cause a legally registered and parked vehicle to be towed.  However, individual cities or towns may have local ordinances regarding how long a vehicle can stay in one spot before it is deemed abandoned.  You don't say where you live, but just call city or town hall, explain your situation, and ask them for some help.  I'm sure they'll give you the information you need.  Good luck.  For more information, visit our Massachusetts Elder Law Discussion Forum.
