Can I discharge payday advance loans with bankruptcy?

Starting last year a took a couple of payday advance loans to get over a rough spot where I had to get money quickly to pay a credit card debt. Well now the whole thing has hit the fan and in addtion to the credit card debt I now have the payday loan debt that I can't pay either. I'm hoping the payday loans can be discharged? Also what about criminal fines? I have one of those too. Thanks

Payday advance loans dischargeable

The good news is that the payday advance loans, like most other unsecured debt, are dischargeable in bankruptcy.  However, generally debtors cannot discharge criminal fines.   I always encourage people to talk to a bankruptcy attorney before making any decisions about filing for protection.  Depending on the type and size of your debt and on the type of assets you have, an attorney may give you different recommendations, such as filing for Chapter 13 Bankruptcy or not filing at all.  Good luck.
