Hi, I am curious as to if there's anyway we could break our lease if our apartment complex got bought out. The bulding manager that we had was looking for a tenant to occupy the apt we had and just got fired so we wll be contacting the company to see if they are still going to try and find someone to rent it out as we will also try to find a suitable party. But, is there anyway since it's a new landlord, whom a contract we didn't sign with, can make us stay? Any answers would be much appreciative, so thank you in advance! :)

Assignment of residential lease
Typically, when an owner sells an apartment building, she assigns all of the leases to the new owner, who is then entitled to enforce the leases as though he were a party to the original contracts. So the rules regarding your ability to break a lease remain the same.
