I have not worked in over 21 years but now I think I can qualify as disabled by the SSA. My husband died 3 years ago but worked every day before that. Can I get Social Security Disability Benefits now because of him?

Assuming you meet the Social Security Administration's definition of disabled and are at least 50 years old, you might qualify for disability income. To qualify, you must have disability that came about after your husband died and your husband must have worked long enough to have qualified for SSDI, though he need not have actually applied for it. I strongly encourage you to talk to an attorney who does disability work. Good luck.
