Doesn't Massachusetts Consumer Protection Law require a business operating in Massachusetts to provide a customer with a written receipt for products and services for which the customer is being billed? Recently the category on my Verizon phone bill identified only as "Zone 1" jumped from 3 calls a month to 77 calls a month. Verizon claims that they are not able to give me the numbers dialed from my phone because they don't save them. The Mass. Dept. of Telecommunications confirmed this practice, and had Verizon send me a list of area codes in Zone 1. This was of no use to me. I simply would like to go to the Verizon website to view the phone numbers on my account for which I am being charged to determine their accuracy, and to reduce my bill.

If this refusal by Verizon does not comport with existing statutes, how should I proceed to require them to meet this requirement?
