I live in a 4 owner condo association. Two owners wanted to build an unnecessary improvement that required majority approval if the improvement was to be paid for by an assessment. One of the first two owners was insistent on the improvement and was going to pay for the entire improvement if the assessment did not pass. I voted no as did a fourth owner, so the proposal did not pass. The insistent owner secretly emailed the fourth owner and offered to pay her share of the assessment in exchange for her voting yes on the assessment. The fourth owner busted him and forwarded the bribe email to the entire association.
Are there any legal consequences to being caught bribing other owners like this?
Thanks!
