There is no right to cancel contracts for autos. If there are problems with the car, see article on lemon law in our Quick Info Library.

my daughter signed a P/S agreement and after signing it realized she could not afford the monthly payments. She has not picked up the car yet. The car dealership has submitted her application for financing. We went back to the dealership the next day which was a Sunday the application had not yet been approved for financing because banks were closed when she signed the contract. They refused to let her out of the contract unless she were to buy another car from them is this legal practice.

The paperwork your daughter signed may (or may not) include a provision for when the contract can be cancelled. I suggest readingin it carefully. Otherwise there is no law or regulation which allows for the cancellation of the contract to purchae an automobile.
