Are employers obligated to send last paycheck by mail after 2 weeks of quitting?

I quit my job about 3-4 weeks ago and friends say that employers are obligated to send me my last paycheck by mail if I haven't picked it up after 2 weeks. I was just wondering if this is true or not in the state of MA. Please help. Thank you.

As you may have read in another thread on this site, under MA law, with a voluntary termination (when you quit), your former employer should make last paycheck available no later than the day you would have received that check if you continued your employment with the employer.  However, I'm not aware of any law or regulation that would require the employer to mail the check.  Try calling the AG's fair labor hotline at 617-727-3465.  If you find your answer, please let our readers know by updating this thread.
