Amending condominium bylaws in Massachusetts

My condo association's by-laws are not clear on what amount(#) or percentage of owner's votes are required to approve/reject proposals to raise condo fees and alter the by-laws. What is the Massachusetts General Law regarding what constitutes and determines the legal amount of votes necessary that pertain to these type of proposed changes ??

Amend bylaws for Condo

If your condominium association is thinking about changing by-laws and altering the condominium fee, the association should consult a real estate attorney in MA who is very familiar with this area of the law.  Typically, a change to the bylaws is made at a board meeting when the required quorum is present.  The actual percentage that is required is not, as far as I know, established by Massachusetts law.  In some condominiums, a two-thirds majority is required and, in others, only 51 percent or 75%.  If your condo documents are silent on the issue (that would be unusual), this is another excellent reason to establish a relationship with an attorney.  Good luck.
