3rd Offense Noise Violation - On my record? Please help.

MA Criminal Law (Traffic Violations/Defense) Questions and Answers

1st violation: underage drinking
2nd and 3rd violations: unlawful noise

Will this 3rd arrest of my noise complaint result in it being on my record? I have my court appt Tues morning, what is my best path to take at this point? Hire an attorney for $1000? Try to get a public defendant? (I hear a judge won't let me have a public defendant because this is not a jailable crime.) So should I get an attorney? I obviously don't want this on my record as a misdemeanor, but is it worth $1000 to not have it? This is in Massachusetts - How long would it take for this to be removed from my record? I'm from NY, so would it be easier for me to find work in NY than MA, since it occured in MA?
